Actually a blend of 93% Merlot with 7% Cabernet Franc. Aged 19 months in thin stave, medium toast 60 gallon oak barrels, 25% of which were new.

2011 tasting - A red Merlot with minerality in the bouquet, this wine has an intense flavor which will hopefully soften with age. The aftertaste is tart and fruity.

2010 tasting - A dark, rich red, this Merlot has an intense bouquet hinting of prunes. The flavor which follows is tart with a nice mouth-feel demanding the accompaniment of a good pasta.
