North America > Canada > Ontario

Located in central Canada, Ontario has the southernmost lands on Canada amongst the Great Lakes. The Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) standard governs appellations in the province. To be a VQA wine, 100% of the grapes must be grown in Ontario. If the wine is varietally labeled, it must contain 85% of that varietal.
