Washington

Washington is perhaps best known for the cold rains and coffeehouses of Seattle, but is fast-growing in reknown as a wine-producing state as well. Most of the major river valleys are delimited as AVAs. The Columbia Valley and Columbia Gorge AVAs straddle its border with Oregon.
