Valle d'Aosta

Valle d'Aosta, known as Val d'Aoste in Français and Val d'Outa in the local Arpitan language, is a region bordering France and Switzerland. Since 1945 it has been a special autonomous region rather than a province. No IGT or DOCG wines are produced there, but a variety of wines are produced under a single DOC named for the province.
