Trentino

Trentino is the southern, Italian-speaking part of Trentino-Sudtirolo and is synonomous with the province of Trento. They produce no DOCG wines, but several DOC ones. Collectively with Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto this part of Italia is known as Tre Venezie. Vineyards in this region approach elevations of 3600 ft. Wines grown in this province qualify for the Trentino DOC label.
