Sant’Antimo, declared a DOC on 18 January 1996, is a wine grown in Montepulciano in the Siena province of Italia. It can be made in a variety of different ways with a variety of different grapes. The blends include Bianco, Novello, Rosso and the dessert wines, which can both also be Riservas, Vin Santo and Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice. In addition, the wine may also be made from one of the following specific varietals: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Nero.
