Morellino di Scansano is a wine grown in the Grosseto province of the Toscana region, specifically the communes of Scansano, Grosseto, Manciano, Magliano in Toscana, Campagnatico, Semproniano and Roccalbegna. This DOC was created on 18 April 1989 and is made from a minimum 85% Sangiovese. The regular wine requires a minimum 11.5% alcohol while the Riserva requires 12% plus two years of aging.
