Girò di Cagliari is a wine produced in the Cagliari and Oristano provinces of Italia's Sardegna region. The Girò grape is used in this DOC declared on 21 July 1972. Several varieties are made. The Secco (dry) needs a minimum of 14% alcohol. The Dolce Naturale requires 14.5% alcohol. The heaviest is the Liquoroso, which can be Dolce Naturale or Secco. It requires 17.5% alcohol and nine months of aging, or 2 years to also be labeled Riserva.
