Copertino is a wine grown in the Lecce province of Italia's Puglia region. It was granted DOC status on 2 November 1976. This wine is based on Negroamaro, but the other varietals Malvasia Nera di Brindisi, Malvasia Nera di Lecce, Montepulciano and Sangiovese may be used. Two variations are made: Rosso and Rosato.
