Foggia, Italia

Rosso di Cerignola is a wine grown in the Foggia province of Italia's Puglia region in the community of Cerignola - hence the name. It was granted DOC status on 26 June 1974. The wine is based on Uva di Troia and Negroamaro, but the varietals Sangiovese, Barbera, Montepulciano, Malbek and Trebbiano Toscano may also be used. 12% alcohol is required for the wine, or 13% and two years of aging to be labeled Riserva.
