Aleatico di Puglia is a wine made from the Aleatico grape grown throughout Italia's Puglia region. Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Primitivo may also be used in smaller amounts. It was granted DOC status on 29 May 1973, requiring 15% alcohol minimum. Made with lightly withered grapes, the Liquoroso of this DOC requires 18.5% alcohol and 5 months aging or three years to also be labeled Riserva.
