Lacrima di Morro is a wine grown in the Ancona province of the Marche region. Sometimes a d'Alba is appended onto the name. This DOC was created on 9 January 1985 in the communes of Morro d’Alba, Monte San Vito, San Marcello, Belvedere Ostrense, Ostra and Senigallia. It is made from a minimum of 85% Lacrima grapes, with remainder being other red grapes grown in the zone. The wine must have at least an 11% alcohol, or 15% for the Passito.
