Botticino, grown in the Italian commune of the same name as well as nearby Rezzano, is a wine blended from several specific varietals:

Barbera (minimum 30%)
Schiava Gentile (minimum 10%)
Marzemino, locally called Berzamino (minimum 20%)
Sangiovese (minimum 10%)

It was granted its DOC status on 19 April 1968 and must have at least 11.5% alcohol, or 12.5% and two years of aging to be called Riserva.
