Marino is a wine made in the Italian province of Roma in the communes of Marino, Roma and Castelgandolfo. It was granted its DOC status on 6 August 1970 and must contain at least 11% alcohol, 11.5% to be labeled superiore. Marino is made primarily from Malvasia di Candia, Malvasia del Lazio, Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano Romagnolo, Trebbiano Giallo and Trebbiano di Soave, but may also contain small amounts of other white grapes from the appellation. The wine may also be made as a spumante.
