Colli Albani is a white wine made in the Italian province of Roma. It was granted its DOC status 6 August 1970 and can be made from the grapes Malvasia Bianca di Candia, Malvasia del Lazio, Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano Romagnolo, Trebbiano Giallo, Trebbiano di Soave, and other white grapes grown in this zone. In addtion, the alcohol content must be at least 10.5%. If the alcohol content is over 11.5% it may be labeled superiore. If the wine is bottled by December 20th of the same year in which the grapes are harvested it may carry the designation novello.
