Aglianico del Taburno, known as Taburno for other varietals, was granted its DOC status on 29 October 1986. It is made in the Italian commune of Taburno in the province of Benevento. Aglianico del Taburno can be made as a red (Rosso) or rosé (Rosato). Taburno can be made as a white (Bianco), red (Rosso), Novello, sparkling (Spumante), or with the specific varietals Falanghina, Greco, Coda di Volpe or Piedirosso.
