Taurasi

Taurasi is a wine made throughout the Italian province of Avellino. It was granted its DOC status in 1970 and elevated to a DOCG in 1993. Taurasi is made from at least 85% Aglianico grapes fermented to an alcohol content of at least 12% and aged 3 years. A riserva version can be made with 12.% alcohol and 4 years of aging.
