2008 tasting ($9) - This dark red has a rich, fruity bouquet inviting imbibement. The flavor which follows is intense and edgy, but still
easydrinking and I find myself wondering as the tart aftertaste lingers in my mouth if Penfolds really did the right thing switching
to plastic corks in 2006.
2009 tasting ($13) - A long-legged opaque red, this Merlot has a strong berry bouquet coupled to a dry, fair flavor and a curt aftertaste.
