Ugni Blanc / Trebbiano

Ugni Blanc or Trebbiano is a white variety of the European grape species Vitis vinifera developed in Italia and used in the Chianti blend of Toscana. It is also grown worldwide in small amounts. In France it is most famed for its use in producing Cognac, but it is also a white southern Rhône varietal. In Italy it is also sometimes called Greco, Procanico or Trebbiano Toscano. Sometimes this grape gets confused with Greco di Tufo.
