Monastrell

Monastrell is a variety of the European grape species Vitis vinifera developed in Spain. Jumilla considers the grape as its prize while in France, where it is often used in blending, it is known as Mourvédre. The French name is also used in places like California and Australia, and less frequently it is called Mataro.
